Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars
This year, six GCHS seniors were honored by the State of New Jersey as Edward
J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars.
Only New Jersey's highest achieving students are selected as Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars. These are students who
have class rank of one, two, or three in the graduating class and
rank within the top 10% of the graduating class at the end of their
junior year; or class rank within the top 10% of the graduating
class at the end of their junior year with combined critical reading
and math SAT scores of 1260 or higher at the end of their junior
year. (New Jersey students attending out-of-state high schools must rank in the top 10% of their class and have combined
critical reading and math SAT scores of at least 1260.)
Distinguished Scholars are offered an annual award of $1000 without regard to
financial need.
