Exploring Theater
The goal of this class is to give students an understanding of
the different aspects of theatre, develop self-confidence and use
their abilities to work cooperatively with others. They are expected
to be creative and express themselves while enjoining the class.
This is a requirement before taking Drama I and II.
Grading Procedure includes:
 | Class participation and presentations 50% |
| Behavior and cooperation 20% |
| Tests 10% |
| Quizzes 10% |
| Class work 10% |
Homework will consist of learning definitions of terms presented in
class, preparing for and participating in class presentations and
completing any assignments not finished in class… They will need a
binder or folder for this class. Part of your class work grade will
be turning in an organized, creative, and complete folder of all
class handouts and notes… They must bring a pen or pencil each day.
Basic Class Room Rules:
| Be on time for class and be prepared! |
| Respect your classmates |
| Be responsible and dependable |
| Make up missed work due to absences |
| Use class room appropriate words and actions at all times |
| Clean up room, pick up trash and straighten desks before leaving
class |
| Be mature |
| Be respectful- disrespect for teacher or classmates will not be
tolerated |
| Do not do work for other classes during theatre arts- it will be
confiscated |
