Classroom Policies

These policies are very important. Please pay close attention.

  1. All students are expected to come to class prepared. This means books, binder or notebook and folder, journal, pens, and all assigned work should be with you.
  2. You are expected to be in your seat when the bell rings. Class begins promptly at the bell and ends with the instructor’s dismissal.
  3. All assignments are due on their assigned due date. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. If there is a problem keeping up with the assignments or the readings, it is the student’s responsibility to inform the instructor as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the end of the quarter or semester. I may be contacted through my email address; before or after class or by calling the main office and leaving a message. Your best bet would be to email. I check my email every day.
  5. Missed work is the responsibility of the student. It would be advisable to obtain a classmate’s phone number or email address or check Homework Live on a daily basis. I will make every effort to post the week’s assignments by Monday afternoon. Test and Quiz Make Ups should be made up within three (3) days of your return to school; otherwise the grade becomes a zero.
  6. STUDENTS WILL BE TREATED IN AN APPROPRIATE AND RESPECTFUL MANNER AND ARE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES THE SAME. If there is a problem at anytime, I will be available before and after class, as well as after school. I will not discuss any disagreement during class time. It is neither fair to take class time away from the others nor appropriate to discuss any disagreements in front of them. This respects your right to privacy.
